More robust health packages for Osun citizens underway – Osun First Lady

Government of the State of Osun under the leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has restated its commitment to continue to put all necessary machinery in place at ensuring that all citizens of the State enjoy good and adequate health care packages.

The wife of the Governor and President IleriOluwa development Initiatives Mrs Kafayat Oyetola stated this during her investiture as the Matron of the State Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention Centre (SEMCHIC).

Mrs Oyetola expressed her readiness at all times, at any scheme aimed at improving the status of all women especially nursing mothers, newly born children, adolescents and the elderly in the State.

According to her the present administration under the leadership of her husband, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola will not at all times be found wanting in enhancing and entrenching a workable environment for the health and development of all citizens.

This among others according to her informed the proactiveness of the administration to embark on improving and resuscitating all the primary health care structures in the State which were hitherto moribund.

The investiture which took place in her office afforded the Osun first lady an avenue to roll out a series of programmes and activities to be embarked upon soon by her NGO, IleriOluwa Development Initiatives. One of the programmes she maintained will take special care of RMNCAH+N formular by stepping up a campaign to address all aspects of Gender-Based Violence in the State.

Mrs Oyetola who got officially decorated as Matron of SEMCHIC said she felt deeply honoured and challenged to do more and more programmes to achieve unprecedented successes aimed at advancing and promoting the course of women and children in Osun. “A template to that effect with the support and encouragement of my husband, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, the government and good people of the State of Osun is not beyond attainment” Mrs Oyetola concluded.

Speaking earlier at the programme, the State Chairman Primary Health Care Development Board, Honorable Oyeleke Ogunsola congratulated and commended Mrs Oyetola on her decision, at all times, to make a positive difference in the lives of people especially women and children in Osun.

The former lawmaker added that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is seriously committed to improving the health and well being of the citizens of the State.

He particularly noted the proactive measures taken by the administration at putting in place strategies of reducing maternal mortality and child deaths in the state.

Hon. Ogunsola recalled how the administration of Mr Oyetola renovated 332 focal primary Health care centres, the purchase of incinerators, the inauguration of State Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention Centre, flag-off of Community Health influencers & promoters among others.
