`Mayor of Housing’ bags award, pledges to solve housing problems in Africa

Mr My-Ace China, aka Mayor of Housing, has pledged his support to solving housing problems in Nigeria and Africa.

China was speaking after bagging an Ambassador Award from the Nigerian Women Progressive Alliance (NIWOPA) in Abuja on Friday.

He said his late mother was a source of inspiration to him having left him a legacy which translated to owning property.

“When I received N1.9million for my rent after my mother’s demise, I used 1.5 million to subscribe to Lifestyle Asset Hub.

“My passion is to solve the housing problems in Nigeria and Africa.  I used the social funding model that allows you to own a duplex of N140 million with outright payment of N2million.

“By next year, we will be launching the low cost housing which will entail three bedroom flats, two bedroom flats and one bedroom flat and we will be the first company in Nigeria to commercially render self-contain that people can buy and own.

“We want to break it down so that even the students can own houses,” he said.

China pledged that his 100 non-biological children apart from biological children would have property to inherit thereby creating value for money through social funding scheme.

He said that it was this vision that started what made him to be called the mayor of housing.

“I made social funding a self-determining model which is better than mortgage. It does not require government support; it does not require investors fund or individual support.

“We were able to take lifestyle up from zero naira in 2018 to N20 billion in assets in 2021 without government help or investment.

“It is just by our contribution of social fund. The backbone and the spirit of a Nigerian person is the spirit of collaboration and cooperation,” he said.

He therefore called on the leaders to build on the grounds of cooperation as unity was the only solution to dissolving impossibilities.

Mr Mustapha Abdulsalam, the NIWOPA Public Relations Officer described the award recipient as a selfless man who had contributed greatly to the country in the area of housing projects.

Abdulsalam said that China symbolised success and as well instrumental to the achievement of most youths that came across him.

“He is passionate and committed to the society and he is ever present as he works to improve the feasibility and impact of the wellbeing of the people.

“He is a man of great heart, immense strength, sweet nature and soft bundle, he is a father not only to his biological children but also to orphans,” he said.
