Manchester United officially announced Ruben Amorim as their new manager
On Friday afternoon, Manchester United officially announced Ruben Amorim as their new manager.
The Red Devils, in a statement on their website, said Amorim will remain with Sporting Lisbon until November 11.
As a result, his first game in charge of Man United will be a Premier League trip to Ipswich Town.
Amorim will replace Erik ten Hag, who was recently sacked, while Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue in an interim role until he (Amorim) joins the Old Trafford club.

5. He came through Braga’s ranks first as reserve team manager and was then appointed first team manager at the age of 34.
6. Amorim guided Braga to the Portuguese Cup and 10 victories in their remaining 13 league games in his first season.
7. At the end of the season he was signed by Sporting and eventually guided them to two Portuguese league titles after arriving from Braga in 2020, earning the Manager of the Year award.
