Man shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ado Ekiti

A middle-aged man was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen near the Okesa Roundabout in Ado Ekiti.

The victim, who was involved in issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists in the area, was reportedly attacked by assailants who arrived on another motorcycle and opened fire. Witnesses stated that the attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Chairman of the Okada Riders Association in Ekiti State, Mr. Kunle Asaolu, confirmed that the deceased was a member of their association.

 The spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, also confirmed the attack and stated that an investigation is underway.

The body has been taken to the morgue at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital.
