Man reveals attempts by kidnappers on his life

A factory worker, Mr Atijosan Orimisan  has hinted of a plan by suspected Kidnappers to attack and abduct him, after accusing him of making moves to reveal their identities to security operatives.

Orimisan made this known in Lagos while narrating his ordeal in the hands of kidnappers who abducted him early last month, to friends and sympathizers who thronged his Alapere, Lagos residence.

Recall that the man was allegedly kidnapped along the Ijebu Ode -Ore highway, on his way back to Lagos, from Akure , Ondo State where he went to visit his parents.

He was held in captivity for almost a week and later released after the payment of an undisclosed  sum was paid to his abductors, as ransom.

Still baffled by the his experience while in the kidnappers’ den, he explained that his abductors, whose faces he saw during his travail had vowed to eliminate him, if he actualises his plan to reveal their identities to security operatives.

“During the incident, I discussed freely with them and they warned me of the dangers inherent in my disclosing their identities to people,” he said.

The man said that he had received many calls from people he suspected to be those who kidnapped him, adding “my neighbours told me they noticed some strange faces when I was away to Enugu on official duty a a couple of days ago.

“On the 25th of last month, I received a call from a lady who said I should tell her where she could locate me, that she had a parcel to deliver to me from my friend who is outside Nigeria and since I do not have any such friend, instinct revealed to me it was an organised thing,” Orimisan noted.

He further explained that since his release by the kidnappers, he had been nursing fear of imminent attacks and has since not been having sound sleep, stressing “I have zeroed my mind to negative things, happening to me.”
