Man flees as Fulani herders invade village 

A native of Eha -Amufu , Isi Uzo Local  government of Enugu, Mr. Nwovu Nnamdi Edmond fled his community in 2021 for safety due the mayhem between the Fulani herders and villagers.

It was gathered that Mr. Nwovu Nnamdi narrowly escaped during the mayhem but saw the killings and rampage perpetrated by the attackers on the villagers in one of the attacks that took place on 11 January 2020.

Information revealed that during the attack, his grandmother, Mrs. Beatrice Nwovu was killed along with his sister, Ms Nwovu Chidimma.

It was gathered that ever since then, the villagers have been gathering details and information from survivors so as to prosecute the attackers.

However, the community believes with him vital information can be gathered to prosecute the perpetrators of the dastard act as his whereabouts remain unknown.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, one of the villager said, “it is believed that those attackers are still within and living freely among the people in the community but without Mr, Nwovu Nnamdi, there is virtually nothing we can do to arrest the perpetrators.

“We hereby urge anyone with valuable information about his whereabouts to come forward and inform the community head of Eha -Amufu , Isi Uzo Local government of Enugu.”
