…Declared wanted by Police
A certain Timothy Ogbonda has been declared wanted in connection with practicing homosexuality publicly contrary to the Nigerian Constitution.
According to eyewitness Ogbonda on 26th of January, 2022 organised his birthday party where he invited his bisexual/ gay colleagues to celebrate with him at Rumuokoro Axis in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It was while they were having the party that the mob and local vigilantes in the area quickly apprehended them to carry out their jungle justice.
According to the reports, they were rounded up, beaten, humiliated beforeTimothy Ogbonda saw a slight chance and ran for his life. Some eye witnesses said the mob gave him a cut on his leg with a machete before the Police intervened. Some of the party attendants could be facing up to 14 years in prison. Timothy Ogbonda, however, is on the run and the police have declared him wanted as he is nowhere to be found.
