A 52-year-old man, Kazeem Moradeyo, was on Wednesday docked in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing 262 cartons of Milo beverage, worth N3.144 million.
Moradeyo, whose address is unknown, is charged with conspiracy and theft.
He, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Josephine Ikhaire, alleged that the defendant committed the offence with some persons, now at large, on Dec.18, 2022 at 4:00am at No. 4B Reginal Coker Street, Ikeja.
Ikhaire alleged that the defendant stole the cartons of the beverage belonging to his employer, GPC Energy and Logistics LTD.
She said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Newsmen reports that Section 287 stipulates three years imprisonment for stealing.
The Magistrate, L.A Owolabi, admitted the defendant to a bail N500,000, with two sureties in like sum.
Owolabi adjourned the case until May 8 for mention.
