Man beats wife to death in Ogun community

A man identified as Abdurasheed Sesan Fatungashe, popularly known as Gbaresi (Muezzin of Ilara Central Mosque) in Ilara, Remo, Ogun State has sent his wife Oyepero Fatungashe to early grave on Wednesday evening.

The deceased until her death was a nurse and also a herbs seller (Elewe omo) at Ilishan Remo.

In an interview with Oluomo Cisse, a younger sister to the deceased disclosed that late Oyepero does not get angry and her husband behaviour toward her is uncalled for.

According to her, “My sister once told me that one day, when she was asked to pay her first son a visit at Army school, he didn’t drive her there rather he drove her into a forest at Ilishan Remo Ogun State from 7am to 6pm. Even money she made from her shop most times, when she gets home her evil husband would lend it all from her.”

She said atrocities committed by her husband made her suggest a Divorce. She revealed that on Wednesday, some people called their mum to inform her about the death of Pero. The deceased’s husband, immediately after the incident added their mother’s phone number to a blacklist.

The younger sister of the deceased, however appealed to all Nigerians to help their family to stop him from burying the corpse and also withdraw her children from the evil husband.

Until her death, Pero was the breadwinner of her family who took care of her aged parents.

Late Pero’s husband disappeared into the thin air after the mischievous act. The Family of late Pero have appealed to Ogun State Government to punish AbdulRasheed as a way of maintaining justice for the act.
