Man, 46, in NSCDC net for alleged theft of two sewing machines

Operatives of the Kwara state Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), have arrested a 46 year-old man, Adekunle Adeniyi, for allegedly stealing two sewing machines in Ilorin, the state capital.

The suspect reportedly stole the machines alongside other items at a shop at Osin Olatunji, Ilorin, and was caught while trying to cart them away.

NewsDirect learnt that Adeniyi could not give satisfactory explanation as to how he came about the items found on him.

In a statement issued  in Ilorin, the Public Relation Officer of the state Command if NSCDC, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, said the arrest if the suspect followed a broke in to two shops through the wall after which he stole the items found on him as if the time of arrest.

After thorough interrogation and questioning, it was discovered that the suspect could not give satisfactory explanation or proof of ownership for the items he was carrying.

Investigation further revealed that the suspect broke in to the shop in Osin through the wall after which he stole and carted away two sewing machines, one phone charger, one torchlight, one scissors and some pieces of clothes. The suspect confessed that he is guilty of the allegations.
