A 35 years old man has been reported to have died by suicide in Jigawa state.
According to findings by the police, Samaila Ilu, a 35-year-old man of Dungun Tantama village in Kafin Hausa Local Government left his house on 16/08/2023 to unknown destination.
His body was found hanging on a tree with a rope presuming he had died by suicide.
A team of police men removed the corpse and conveyed him to Kafin Hausa general hospital for autopsy.
His corpse was later released to his relatives for burial, and has since been buried in his home town.
Sources close to the village, Nalam Aliyu Adamu said the deceased whose body was found hanging under a tree was having problems with his family.
He explained that he has some cows and other animals at his possession, so the suicide is not an issue of poverty, but an issue of family, which only the family knows better.
