Makinde, Ojuade, Ibiyemi describe exercise as peaceful

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, Bukola Ojuade and and Samuel Ibiyemi have described the Saturday election as peaceful, voters turn out is impressive as conduct themselves.

They lauded the Independent National Electoral commission and security agents for smooth conduct of the exercise.

They said the poll is better than the governorship election in the state, adding that there no buying and selling of votes which made the exercise credible.

Findings by our correspondent from poling units visited showed that there were no security men in most of the units especially Modekeke, Ipetumodu and Ifetedo in Ife South Local Government Area.

Though, some voters were not voted due to non-recognition of their face by Biomodal Voters Accreditation System.

According to Chief Bayo Adejumo, the state Goint Negotiation Council, said he was disenfranchised by INEC due to non-recognition of his both face and fingerprint.

He called on INEC to improve on its machine to allow electorate to exercise their civil responsibility.
