Chelsea record signing Romelu Lukaku has completed his first training session with the club after he joined from Inter Milan.
After training with the team, Lukaku is in line to make his second Blues debut on Sunday when Thomas Tuchel’s side travel across London to face Arsenal.
The striker also had his first interview with Chelsea’s official website ahead of training.
He said he is ready to prove himself to the coaches he is ready to play. Lukaku also noted that it’s going to be a new fight for him as the whole team fights for Chelsea’s win.
‘I’ll make sure that in training I give 100 per cent every day and make sure that I’m ready for each game. I’m happy the first one is a big game away at Arsenal so hopefully we can prepare ourselves well and get a good result, he said.
Upon Lukaku’s return Chelsea’s director, Marina Granovskaia insisted the Blues had brought one of the ‘world’s best strikers’ back to the club.
She said the club is looking to build on last season’s success, noting that Lukaku will play a big role in helping the club achieve that.
