Lufthansa, Air France cancel flights to, from Beirut

In response to escalating concerns over a potential all-out war between Israel and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah movement, both the Lufthansa Group and Air France have announced the suspension of their flights to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

The Lufthansa Group, based in Frankfurt, reported that it has canceled a total of five round-trip flights to and from Beirut through Tuesday. These cancellations affect flights operated by Lufthansa itself as well as its subsidiaries, Eurowings and SWISS.

Similarly, Air France has also taken precautionary measures due to the deteriorating security situation. The airline has suspended its flights between Paris and Beirut for both Monday and Tuesday. The decision reflects the growing apprehension surrounding the conflict and aims to ensure the safety of passengers and crew amid the heightened tensions in the region.
