Lobi Stars chief fumes over Super Six playoff timing
Lobi Stars vice-chairman, Dominic Iorfa, has queried the Interim Management Committee (IMC) on the proposed date for the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six play-off.
The IMC announced on Tuesday that the Super Six will start on May 23 in Lagos.
The competition will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos
Group B games will end on Sunday, May 21, two days before the start of the Super Six.
Rivers United’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup has forced the IMC to readjust games in the group.
Iorfa believes that two days arrival time for the teams in Group B isn’t enough.
“How can a club play a match away from home and you’re asking the club to report after two days for other crucial games like the play-off?” Iorfa queried.
