Libyan driver detained for attempting to smuggle six Nigerian women

On Tuesday, a Libyan driver was apprehended in the Bishr area of Libya for attempting to smuggle six undocumented Nigerian female migrants. The arrest occurred during a routine police patrol, which intercepted the vehicle and detained the driver.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, the driver attempted to evade arrest by claiming the women were his family members. However, authorities saw through this claim and took both the driver and the migrants into custody.

The individuals have been transferred to the Bishr Police Department for further legal action as the investigation continues.
