Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (H.I.D) casted his vote in the ongoing local government election at his polling unit 016 on Shobo street, ward F, Ojokoro LCDA.
The Council boss arrived the polling centre at 9:25am, in company of his wife, Deaconess Motunrayo Tijani.
He was immediately accredited and given ballot papers after his permanent voters card (PVC) has been validated by LASIEC officials.
While speaking with newsmen after casting his vote, Hon. Tijani commended the LASIEC Officials for arriving early at the polling centre.
He however, said that it is too early to comment on the low turnout of voters at the centre, saying that he believes people will still come out to exercise their civic responsibilities, as adequate awareness and security checks have been put in place.
He also expressed optimism that his party will come out victorious in the election not only in Ojokoro LCDA but in all the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos.
The local government election witnessed low turnout of voters at the initial stage in some polling centres visited.
