Let us protect our heritage — Sanwo-Olu’s Aide urges students

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Basic and Secondary Education, Opeyemi Eniola, has urged all to protect the state’s heritage and infrastructure against destruction.

Opeyemi said this during the National Parliamentary Summit held at Lagos State University on Thursday, even as he praised the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his achievements in the THEMES + agenda, most especially in the areas of education and technology during the National Parliamentary Summit held at Lagos State University.

The event, organised by the Students’ Parliamentary Council of the Lagos State University Students’ Union which was attended by Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, among other invited guests, dignitaries, and students, saw the Governor being commended for his efforts in improving the educational sector in the state.

He emphasised the importance of preserving key structures and landmarks that hold significant historical value to the state.

The SSA reiterated that he is “proud to highlight the achievements of Mr. Governor, especially in the areas of education and technology.”

“Under the leadership of Mr. Governor, we have seen significant investments in our educational system, leading to improved infrastructure and quality of education for our students. Additionally, the governor has championed the use of technology to enhance service delivery and promote economic growth in our state,” he added.

The former students leader highlighted the government’s commitment to providing quality education and promoting technological advancement in Lagos State. He also encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them and contribute positively to the growth and development of the state.

The National Parliamentary Summit, an annual event hosted by the Lagos State University Students’ Union Parliamentary Council, served as a platform for discussions on issues related to governance, education, and technology. It provided an opportunity for stakeholders to come together and exchange ideas on how best to move the state forward.

The event, hosted under the leadership of the speaker of the union, Rt. Hon. Hassan Haleemah, was a success, with attendees commending the Governor for his leadership and dedication to improving the lives of Lagos residents.
