The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, is set to host the highly anticipated 2024 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo. The event, themed “Invest Nigeria,” is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 27th, and Wednesday, August 28th, at the Eko Hotel and Suite, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s conference is poised to be a landmark event, with the primary objective of introducing 15 unicorn companies to the Nigerian economy. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for signing significant investment agreements between Nigeria and other countries, and for facilitating the establishment of 1,500 new startups across Africa.

The event promises to be a dynamic convergence of global business leaders, government officials, and industry experts. Key highlights include a Global Business Roundtable, which will be headlined by the Nigerian Presidency, State Government officials, diplomats, and leaders from the organised private sector.

The roundtable will focus on strategies to attract foreign investment and drive economic growth in Nigeria.

In addition to the roundtable, the conference will feature a session dedicated to individual countries and states, providing a unique opportunity for regional investment discussions. Ten Business-to-Business sessions will also be held, covering critical sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, fintech, textiles, and creative arts.

Furthermore, six Government-to-Government meetings are scheduled, where representatives of the Nigerian government will engage with their counterparts from other nations to explore bilateral opportunities and strengthen economic ties.

The expo section of the event is expected to draw delegates and exhibitors from at least 50 different countries, showcasing a wide array of products, services, and investment opportunities.

As the largest business gathering in Nigeria, the 2024 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo is expected to play a crucial role in driving economic growth, attracting foreign investment, and fostering innovation within the Nigerian economy.
