Lawmaker urges constituents to take ownership of projects
Sen. Sani Musa(APC-Niger East), has urged his constituents to take ownership of projects executed by him across the nine local government areas of the state.
Musa made the call at a meeting with stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) and his party structure.
The meeting was held in his constituency of Gurara, Tafa and Suleja Local Government Areas of Niger.
Newsmen reports that Musa represents Chanchaga, Shiroro, Munya, Tafa, Suleja, Gurara, Paikoro, Rafi and Bosso local government areas at the Red Chambers.
Musa was represented by Alhaji Baba Bissala, Chairman, Advisory Council of Sani Musa campaign who is also the Sarkin Shannu of Suleja.
He explained that the purpose of the visit was for the team to interact with party members and the senators structure under his constituency.
“We are here to meet and interact with all the wards chairmen, coordinators, youth and women leaders from various wards which are the structure of the senator under my constituency as well as other party shareholders.
“The essence of the interactive session is to know the challenges and other issues affecting people in zone B and see how to address it to the benefit of the people.
“We also want to see how all of you as the structure of the senator can synergise, work together and take ownership of all the senators projects executed and the ones still under construction,” he said.
Also, Mr Mohammed Kolo, Special Adviser to Niger state Governor on Political and Strategy, thanked party members for their support to the senator.
Kolo solicited for more support from them by ensuring they vote for all candidates of the party during the 2023 election.
He noted that the senator was a unifier that carried everyone along irrespective of tribe and religion.
In their separate remarks, APC chairmen in Gurara, Tafa and Suleja, appreciated the lawmaker for initiating and executing people oriented projects.
They also commended the senator for the youths and women empowerment programme in his constituency and pledged their commitment to the party.
Similarly youth and women representative in Tafa, Gurara and Suleja promised to mobilise their members to ensure that the lawmaker wins his second term bid.
