The Lagos State government is set to resume its annual ministerial press briefing, starting today, to unveil the projects and accomplishments of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration; the exercise was suspended three years ago.

The month-long program will feature each ministry, department, and agency in the state briefing the media on their achievements over the past year and outlining their plans for the future.

Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, highlighted that the decision to revive the annual event was aimed at keeping Lagosians informed about the projects undertaken by Governor Sanwo-Olu since his re-election for a second term in office.

He added that this year’s briefing, which will be held between April 23 and May 28, will prelude the one-year anniversary of Governor Sanwo-olu’s second term in office.

He said, “At the ministerial briefing, we would inform Lagosians on what we had done in the last one year and other projects we are working on, such as the Lekki Airport, the fourth mainland bridge among other iconic projects.

“Each ministry will tell Lagosians what they have done and what to expect from them in another year.”

The Commissioner expressed confidence in the readiness and ability of the commissioners and head of agencies to deliver at the briefing.
