LASG postpones truck e-call-up system on Lekki-Epe corridor

The Lagos State Government has announced the postponement of the electronic call-up system for trucks on the Lekki-Epe corridor.

The state Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, made the announcement in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

The statement was signed by Mrs Bolanle Ogunlola, the ministry’s Deputy Director, Public Affairs.

The e-call-up system on the Lekki-Epe corridor was billed to commence on Aug. 1.

The initiative is to ensure seamless traffic flow on the Lekki-Epe corridor.

“The postponement of the e-call-up system on Lekki-Epe corridor was reached after further consideration of stakeholders request to extend the timeliness.

“This is in order to give adequate room for full compliance,” he said.

Osiyemi urged all stakeholders to seize the opportunity to ramp up full preparation in readiness for the successful take off of the technology-driven solution of truck movement on the Lekki-Epe corridor.
