Lagos valuation office, NIESV visit State Treasury Office

As part of the celebration of Valuation Day, the Director, Lagos State Valuation Office (LASVO), Esv. Adekunle Awola and the Chairman, Lagos branch, Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Esv. Olabisi Demola-Alade led a team comprising members of the Institute to the office of the Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, State Treasury Office (STO), Mr. Abiodun Muritala at the Secretariat, Alausa.

In his remarks, the Director of LASVO, Esv. Adekunle Awolaja said the courtesy visit was an opportunity to appreciate the Accountant-General for his support and commitment during the recently concluded Valuation Exercise of all Lagos State Government fixed assets properties.

He noted that the exercise was done in accordance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

On his part, the Chairman, Lagos Branch of the Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Esv. Olabisi Demola-Alade said, “The Institution is grateful for the audience given by the AG to celebrate the Valuation Day with the Lagos branch NIESV.”

In his appreciation message, the Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, State Treasury Office (STO), Mr. Abiodun Muritala opined that the State recognises the value of the Institution hence the support.

He added that over the years, the Institution in collaboration with Lagos State Valuation Office (LASVO) had helped in the determination of LASG fixed assets properties all over the State. This is usually used for the annual financial report.

The AG said his door is open for collaboration with the Institution through the Lagos State Valuation Office.

He appreciated the executives and members of the Institution who found it worthy to celebrate the Valuation Day event with him.
