Lagos Security: Lagos CP, Chief Judge, Attoney-general strengthen bond to fast track dispensation of justice

The Lagos State Commsioner of Police CP Hakeem Odumosu has revealed an ongoing plan between the Chief Judge, and the Attorney-general to fast-track dispppensation of Justice and address criminal activities in Lagos State.
He made this known on Tuesday when he met with the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State, Mr Moyo Onigbanjo(SAN) and the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, in their respective offices at Ikeja, Lagos State.
In a signed statement by Lagos State Police Spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi made available to Nigerian NewsDirect.
The Police boss who credited his visit to the top echelon of the judiciary in the state as a bid to strengthen the good understanding and relation that exist between the bodies and evolved a workable system and path towards addressing the spate of crime and fast-tracking justice within the context of the recent happening.
He noted that, “There is need for the Ministry of Justice and the judiciary to make policies and adopt strategies that will solidify the Criminal Justice System and overhaul the legal framework in the state so as to be in tandem with the present happenings and dimensions of crimes and criminality in the state and Nigeria at large.”
Odumosu expressed his pleasure with the newly passed Anti-Cultism Bill which awaits the consent of the state governor and other steps being taken by the Lagos State Government to tackle insecurity and crimes in the state.
In reciprocating the hands of comradeship extended by the Police boss, the Attorney-General and the Chief Judge of Lagos State appreciated the visit of the Commissioner of Police and his hand of friendship extended to the two vital government entities in Administration of Justice viz-a-viz projecting solid security architecture in the state.
They further assured the Commissioner of Police of adequate supports towards fighting crimes and lawlessness in Lagos State.
