Lagos Police arrest 2 suspected armed robbers, recover arms

The Lagos Police command has arrested two suspected armed robbers around Sabo area Ikorodu Lagos State.

The Operation which was tactically effected by  the Police attached to Sagamu Road Division was carried out at about 1:3pm yesterday.

In a signed statement by the Lagos State Police spokesperson CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi made available to Nigerian NewsDirect. CSP Olumuyiwa gave more details about the incident,  underscoring the overarching effectivity, dexterity  and coverage of the Police in the state.

He  claimed that the suspected armed robbers were almost lynched when apprehended, but for the intervention of the Police.

“They were almost lynched by an angry mob in the area before they were eventually rescued.”

He gave the names of the suspected robbers as following;  Gbolahan Adebowale, m, 18 and Quadri Giwa Giwa Ajina, m, 21, while revealing  one barretta Pistol was recovered from them.

Muyiwa said, “The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu  has ordered that they should be moved to thr state CID for proper investigation.

Odumosu said the command will not leave any stone unturned to make Lagos safe, as every nook and cranny of the state will be adequately combed and policed.
