Lagos: Man arrested for raping four-year-old girl

A 32-year-old man, Wahaab Ibrahim, was detained for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl according to Lagos State Police Command.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday in Lagos.

The incident according to him happened on September 3 in the Ibeju-Lekki area of the state.

He said the complaint was reported at Elemoro Division and was subsequently transferred to the Gender Unit in Ikeja.

According to the complainant, while she was away, her four-year-old niece was sexually molested by the suspect. “The police visited the scene and recovered and registered some exhibits,” he said.
