Lagos Govt diverts traffic on Gbagada-Oworonshoki Expressway for emergency repair works

The Lagos State Government has announced a temporary diversion of traffic along the Gbagada-Oworonshoki Expressway to facilitate urgent repairs.

According to a statement released on Saturday by the Ministry of Transportation, the diversion is effective immediately and will affect motorists attempting to access the area near Ram Seller beside Gbagada General Hospital.

She said that in order to navigate the diversion, motorists will be redirected to Diya Street through New Garage by Jolad Hospital, from where they can reach Gbagada Phase 2 via Pedro Road.

Recall that the government has urged motorists to cooperate and follow the diversion signs to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

The repairs are expected to be completed as soon as possible to minimize inconvenience to road users.

“Also, Motorists from old Toll Gate/Ketu are advised to make use of Ikorodu Road to connect to Anthony, while others coming from Lagos Island via Third Mainland Bridge will be diverted to Adekunle and Herbert Macaulay to access Anthony/Oshodi through Jibowu on Ikorodu road.”

“Motorists are implored to be patient and cooperate with the Traffic Management Personnel to ease their movements,” the statement added.
