The Lagos State Government Lagos Govt charges technicians to elevate crafthas urged technicians in the state to upgrade their skills and stay up-to-date with developments in their trade.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Engr. Olayinka Adekunle, gave the charge on Thursday while declaring open a five-day expert training for electricians, plumbers, technicians, and carpenters organised by the Office of Works, Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
The training program, which is the first of its kind, had participants drawn from various fields in the building industry.
The program featured a lineup of speakers, including experts and thought leaders in the built sector.
The Special Adviser on Works, Engr. Adekunle Olayinka, emphasised the importance of elevating crafts and trade in today’s fast-paced, artificial intelligence-dominated world. He expressed optimism that the investment in training will yield great dividends in the long run, promote professional excellence, and increase productivity.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Works, Arch. Adebayo Odusanya, said the program is a platform for professionals to grow, learn, and network.
He expressed confidence that the training will have a lasting impact on the industry.
