Lagos based armed robbers terrorising Ogun residents arrested

Men of Ogun state police command have arrested three suspected armed robbers who live in Lagos but come to Ogun state suburb, Ajuwon to carry out their deadly operation.
The three suspected armed robbers are Samuel Sunday, a 20-year old resident of Fagba in Lagos State, 22-years old Adeleke Mustapha, residing at Ajala area of Lagos State and Joel Rotimi, aged 19 and resident of Taju Bello street Agbado Ogun state.
Açcording to statement from the Spokesman of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the armed robbery suspects were said to have been rounded up after the residents of Ajuwon area on this said day made distress call to the police over the invasion of their neighbourhood around 1:45 am by a gang of six armed robbers dispossessing the people of their valuables.
Upon the distress call, the DPO Ajuwon, SP Andrew Akinseye was said to have quickly led his men to the area but the hoodlums who took to their heels on sighting policemen were chased and apprehended.
Recovered from them are a cut to size locally made pistol, four Bajaj motorcycles, weeds suspected to be india hemp, two voters card and two national Identity cards.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
He also appealed to members of the public to always make use of the command’s control room numbers which are 08081770416 & 08081770419 whenever in distress for the police to respond swiftly.
