Lagos Airport Hotel celebrate 80th anniversary in ground style

Lagos Airport Hotel, a subsidiary of Odu’a Investment Company Limited, yesterday celebrate it 80th anniversary of it existence in ground style.

The anniversary theme tag “Culture, Tourism and Hospital as Agents of Economic Growth in the South West Region”.

Delivering it welcome address of ceremony in Lagos, the Acting General Manager of Lagos Airport Hotel Limited, Mrs Folashade Awe said that the hotel is one of the legacies left behind by the founding fathers of the Yoruba race since 1942

The hotel been owned by the South West State, which comprises of Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos state.

Awe said for the past 80 years Lagos Airport Hotel has been providing exceptional hospitality services to it numerous customers across the country deserves an accolade and worthy of celebration.

“The client wants to identify with the greatness of the hotel and the staff is very proud to say that they are part of this celebration of greatnes,” She added

The Chairperson, Lagos Airport Hotel Limited board of Directors, Princess Funnke Olugboji in her opening remarks said that the Lagos Airport Hotel is popular location of over 1000 acres of land with a standard hospitality services.

She then commend the Managing Director and staffs for making sure the hotel remain in it standard space.

Also delivering it Goodwill message during the celebration, the Chairman, Board of Odu’a investment, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru said that the hotel is one the heritage of Yoruba’s.

He said 80 years of existence, what celebrated with quality of good staffs.

Adding that it Directors is moving around to make that there foreign investors to invest in the hotel to make a 7 star.

Delivering lecture on the theme of the anniversary, President Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administration of Nigeria (ICSAN) and Managing partner of Owokalade & Co. Legal Practitioners, Mr Taiwo Gbenga said that the directors of the hotel need to do more to satisfy it customers.

Taiwo said that “the hotel must have a culture that drives it, which will make exceptional from other hotels in it environment.

Adding that innovations and strategies must be a continuer agent to drive the economy of the hotel

Dignities present include the Governor of Ogun State, represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, Governor of Ondo State, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, Governor of Osun State, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji, among others.
