Kwara’s Gov. AbdulRazaq felicitates Emir of Ilesha-Baruba at 73

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara on Friday rejoiced with the Emir of Ilesha-Baruba in the state, Prof. Halidu Abubakar, on his 73rd birthday.

The governor urged the traditional ruler to continue to offer himself to the service of God and to humanity.

Abdulrazaq’s felicitation with Abubakar is contained in a statement issued by Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, his Chief Press Secretary.

He commended Abubakar’s efforts at maintaining peace in his domain, describing him as an accomplished scholar who got to the peak of his academic career before ascending the throne of his forefathers.

“The governor promises to continue to support Prof. Abubakar in maintaining peace, unity and understanding among his subjects, in the interest of the state,’’ Ajakaye stated.

He also promised to ensure that sustainable development got to every part of the state including Ilesha-Baruba.

The governor prayed that Almighty God shall grant the emir good health and more rewarding years on the throne.
