Kwara South traditional rulers endorse APC Rep
The Traditional Councils in Ekiti and Oke-Ero Local Government Areas of Kwara have endorsed the re-election of Rep. Tunji Olawuyi.
Olawuyi is seeking a second term to represent Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara on the platform of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) at National Assembly.
In Osi, the Chairman of the Ekiti Traditional Council and Olosi of Osi, Oba Salihu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe, thanked the lawmaker for the good works he is doing across communities in the constituency, noting the solar light Olawuyi installed in his Palace and other places.
Adasofegbe prayed for a successful election for Olawuyi and expressed optimism that if returned to office, he stood a better chance to gain more prominence in the National Assembly that will be of great benefit to the constituency.
On his part, the Owalobo of Obbo Ile, Oba Adebayo Rufus Olusegun, commended Olawuyi for his infrastructural development in the constituency and thanked the legislator for empowering his constituents.
The traditional ruler said Olawuyi, who is the Chairman House Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, is a trusted and tested lawmaker who truly deserved another term in office.
The Obajisun of Ayedun in Oke-Ero Local Government Area, Oba Dr Olusegun Rotimi, also thanked Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for embarking on people-oriented projects.
He also commended Olawuyi for his infrastructural development especially for sponsoring a Bill for an Act for the establishment of the School of Midwifery, Ayedun.
While addressing the traditional rulers and the people, Olawuyi thanked them for their support and reminded them that he has been able to fulfil 80 per cent of his promises even though there is still more to be done.
He solicited for their continued support so that he can be returned elected as there is huge benefits for the people of the constituency, if they elect him for another term.
Olawuyi also appealed to the traditional rulers to support all the APC candidates from the President, Governor to the state House of Assembly.
