Kwara records 20 new cases of COVID-19

 Kwara Government says 20 more people have tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,489.

Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor and Spokesman of the Technical Committee on COVID-19, made this known in a statement in Ilorin on Friday.

According him, the figure brings the total of confirmed cases to 2,489 with 1,877 patients discharged and 50 deaths recorded in the state.

“As at 8:00 a.m. on Friday the number of active cases was 562 while 1,877 had so far been discharged and 50 deaths recorded.

“The total number of tests done so far is 18,463 while 298 are still pending”, Ajakaye said.
