Kwara records 16 new COVID-19 cases

Kwara Government says 16 more people have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total of confirmed cases in the state to 2,970.

The Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor and Spokesman for the Technical Committee on COVID-19, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, made this known in a statement issued on Thursday.

According to Ajakaye, 2,300 patients have been discharged and 53 deaths recorded in the state.

“As at 10:00 am on Wednesday the number of active cases is now 617, while 2,300 have so far been discharged and 53 deaths recorded.

“The total number of tests done so far is 20,494, while 157 are still pending,” Ajakaye said.
