Kwara Police Command confirms one killed in cultists’ attack in Ilorin

The Kwara State police command has confirmed that one person was killed in the suspected cultists’ attack in Ilorin, the State capital on Monday.

According to the spokesman of the command, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin on Tuesday, “one victim, name and address unknown, of suspected cultist attack was recorded at Adangba area of Ilorin yesterday 30/5/2022 at about 9:30pm.

“One suspect arrested, investigation has started as directed by the Commissioner of police, Tuesday Assayomo.”

Eyewitness accounts, however, claimed three persons were feared killed, including a commercial Okada rider in the bloody cultists’ attack around Omoda roundabout, Adangba quarters of Ilorin metropolis on Monday night.

The suspected cultists stormed the area shooting sporadically, forcing people to scamper for safety, while business and social activities were suspended abruptly in the area.

The incident would be the third within four days in the State capital.
