Kwara: EFCC arrest 56 suspected internet fraudsters

The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 56 individuals believed to be involved in internet fraud in Kwara State’s capital.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Oyewale noted that the arrests occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday at various locations throughout the city.

He explained that the arrests were based on credible intelligence about fraudsters causing distress and suffering among unsuspecting citizens through their fraudulent schemes.

He noted, “The suspects will be arraigned in court once the ongoing investigations are completed.”
