Kompany lands managerial job in England

Burnley has appointed Vincent Kompany as their new manager after he left his role as Anderlecht’s boss.

The Clarets have not had a permanent manager since Sean Dyche was sacked in April.

Mike Jackson was brought in as caretaker manager but failed to keep the club in the Premier League.

A 2-1 final-day defeat at home to Newcastle confirmed Burnley’s relegation to the Championship.

Kompany will arrive with members of his coaching staff from Anderlecht.

They include Simon Davies and Craig Bellamy. Floribert Ngalula and Rodyse Munienge are two other names linked with moving to England.
