Kidnappers abduct eight travellers in Kogi, demand N30m ransom

Armed men have reportedly abducted eight travellers along Oshokoshoko-Obajana-Lokoja road.

The kidnappers are said to be demanding a ransom of N30 million.

According to news reports, the victims were abducted around 4.30pm on Saturday when the kidnappers intercepted the vehicle travelling from Kabba to Lokoja.

A member of the People With Disabilities (PWDs), Kogi State chapter, Elupo Eliazer, said his wife and son were among the victims.

He said their abductors had called and were demanding the sum of  N30 million initially which after negotiations,  they reduced to N2.6 million.
