Kebbi Governor, Idris bags ANAN honorary fellowship

The Governor of Kebbi state, Nasir Idris on Tuesday bagged honorary fellowship prestigious award from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) for his outstanding contributions to the growth of the professional institution.

The conferment of the award to the Governor has demonstrated his exceptional leadership in making significant contributions to the accounting profession whereby his top members of cabinets are part and parcel of the institution.

Receiving the honorary fellowship award in Abuja on Tuesday the President of the ANAN, Dr James Ekerare Neminebor said it’s the first they are bestowing such a prestigious award to an individual which is acknowledging the impact, influence, and dedication to enhance accounting profession in kebbi state.

The President praised Governor Namadi for his exceptional implementation of sound financial policies and his relentless efforts in fostering accountability in governance.

He stressed that ANAN will continue to partner with kebbi state government for a bright future and opportunities while assuring members that they’re citizens of the state with the demonstration accorded to them.

Governor Idris while receiving the award appreciated the Governing Council for the recognition and pledged to continue his efforts in promoting good governance by upholding transparency and accountability in the management of the state’s finances.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Umar Abubakar Tafidda noted that the award would serve as a source of motivation for their administration to further advance the principles of sound financial practices.

He maintained that his boss commitment to accounting activities in the state has merited the award.

Also speaking the Accountant General of Kebbi state, Alhaji Bello Nahaliku expressed satisfaction over the assistance rendered by his boss to the accounting profession.

He reiterated that the government will continue to foster a robust synergy with the ANAN thereby enhancing financial inclusion and literacy to indigenes.
