Kano govt complies with court order, reinstates anti-corruption boss, Gado

The Kano State Government has reinstated the sacked Chairman of the state anti-corruption body, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado in compliance with a Court order.

The Court had in a judgement, ruled that Gado be reinstated to his position and paid the sum of N5 million as entitlement.

In urgent compliance with the court’s decision, the State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, approved the reinstatement of Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado as Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission, PCACC, to complete his 5-year tenure.

The immediate past Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, had suspended Muhyi from office allegedly for trying to question the activities of the Governor’s Wife, Dr Hafsat Ganduje.

Before the suspension of the Anti Corruption Commission Boss, he was believed to have wielded too much power including leading an investigation against the dethroned Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi 11.

However, in a statement issued by the government, Muhyi was reinstated to his office with immediate effect.
