Deputy Governor of Kano state, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo is to foot the bill for about 350 students to obtain national diploma courses at the School of Environmental Studies Gwarzo.
Students from other LGAs like Kabo, Karaye, Bichi, and Bagwai, among others also are benefitting from the sponsorship.
Comrade Gwarzo said he believes in providing opportunities for every young mind to flourish and contribute to the nation’s progress.
Speaking at the venue of the award, the Deputy Governor said he looks forward to a future where every young mind would thrive.
While acknowledging the relevance of post-secondary education in Gwarzo LGA, the deputy governor recounted his efforts in championing the establishment of the School of Environmental Studies and Kano State Polytechnic during his tenure as the Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area when Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso was governor of the state.
Deputy Governor Gwarzo urged parents and stakeholders to prioritise the education of their wards, emphasising its paramount importance.
In a fatherly tone, Deputy Governor Gwarzo admonished the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the knowledge they will acquire and, by extension, use it for the positive development of their communities, Kano State, and Nigeria at large.
