The staff of the Kano Civil service Commission has been urged to continue to be upright and stick to the ethics of the profession.
The outgoing permanent secretary of the Commission Engr. Mohammad Adamu Musa made the call while handing over the affairs of his office as a Permanent Secretary to the incoming Permanent Secretary Alh. Sani Abdullahi K/ Mata who was posted from the ministry of Budget and Planning.
Engr. Adamu noted with delight, the support and cooperation accorded to him by the management and staff of the commission during his short stay at the commission would remain indelible and urged them to extend the same gesture to the new Permanent Secretary for the overall improvement of the civil services commission.
It could be recalled that, Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje had recently approved the redeployment of some Permanent Secretaries in the state with a view to improve service delivery in the state for better out put, Engr. Mohammad is now posted to the Office of the Deputy Governor as Permanent Secretary.
Speaking shortly the new Permanent Secretary of the commission Alh. Sani Abdullahi K/Mata expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and pledged to carry everybody onboard for accelerated development in the sector.
K/Mata solicited the support of all and sundry to join hands together to consolidate the gains so far achieved and wished the outgoing Permanent Secretary a huge success in his new assignment place.
Earlier in his keynote address, the Chairman of the Commission Engr. Bello Mohammad Kiru, who was represented by the Permanent Commissioner Alh. Garba Yusuf Karaye, welcomed the new Permanent Secretary and wished him a successful tenure and Allah’s continued guidance. He used the occasion to highlight some of the issues bedevilling the smooth running of the commission and urged the new Permanent Secretary to explore ways of addressing them as a challenge, and commended both the outgoing and incoming Permanent Secretaries for their dedication and selfless services to humanity and charged them to put in their best wherever they find themselves, and pledge to continue to give all the necessary support to the Permanent Secretary to succeed in the discharge of his assignment.
