Kaduna: Bandits kill 3, abduct pastor, 30 others church attack

A deadly attack on a church in Bakinpah-Maro community, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has left three people dead and 30 others, including a pastor, abducted.

The attack occurred on Sunday when bandits stormed the ECWA and Catholic churches in the area.

Former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Hon. Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, saying, “The terrorists, who arrived around 10:00 a.m. in large numbers, targeted the ECWA and Catholic churches.”

He added that among those abducted is Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches.

The community had recently raised funds to build a security post, hoping to attract more law enforcement agents to the area. However, the repeated attacks have forced farmers to abandon their farms.

The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to comment on the incident.

The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the state, which has raised concerns about the safety of residents and the effectiveness of security measures in place.
