June 12: APC Chieftain enjoins Nigerians to be steadfast in their support for national democracy

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC),Prince Nwaeze Onu has enjoined Nigerians to be steadfast in their support for the national  democracy.

Mr Onu, stated this in his democracy message made available to journalists  in Abuja on Friday, saying that democracy has come to stay in nigeria.

Prince Nwaeze Onu who was the 2019 Senatorial candidate of APC in Ebonyi South, congratulated the President Buhari-led administration for its efforts in sustaining the country’s democracy and for declaring democracy day celebration  on  June 12 in honour of late M. K. O. Abiola, stressing the honour is deserving and a call for sober reflection in the democratic journey of the country.

The APC chieftain described Nigerians as heroes of democracy recounting their numerous roles to the stabilization of democratic goveranance in Nigeria. Equally he condemned secessionist clamours by some groups across the country and maintained that the strength and unity of the country lies in her diversity.

He called on all the aggrieved groups in the country to be peaceful in their agitations saying that nation building is a collective responsibility.
