Jigawa govt seeks federal assistance to combat flooding menace

The Jigawa State Government will collaborate with federal Ministry of water resources to address the menace of annual flooding that devastating the state for decades
Governor Umar Namadi stated this while recieving a high powerful deligation from the ministry of water resources under the leadership of the director General Alh Umar Muhd incharge of hydrological services when he paid a condolence visit to the Governor at Government House Dutse .
The governor said they will collaborate with expert to address the annual flooding that yearly destroyed farm land and houses in the state
The governor added that the annual flooding has been putting the state in to challenge to the people economic .
He added that Jigawa state government will do every thing possible to collaborate with expert to address the issue ,of annual flooding , he assure that his government is ready to work with specialist to stop annual flooding in the state .
The governor assured that a specialized team will be formed to work alongside ecological staff from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
In his remarks, the governor highlighted the importance of coordination among various stakeholders, including the Secretary to the State Government, officials from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and environmental experts. “We will ensure that all relevant parties come together to address this critical issue,” he affirmed.
