Jigawa Govt recruits over 1,000 teachers
As part of his promise fulfillment in the area of revitalising the education sector for improved teaching and learning in Jigawa State, Governor Umar Namadi has presented letters of engagement to over one thousand graduates to serve as school teachers across the State.
This is to bridge the deficit of teachers in government schools across the State and ensure quality education at the foundation level.
This is the first phase of the exercise. More recruitments, the state government, said are in the pipeline in the education and other service sectors.
The engagement termed “Jigawa Teach” (J-Teach) is providing these graduates with temporary employment before subsequent confirmation as permanent teachers.
