Jigawa Gov suspends commissioner over sex scandal

Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi of Jigawa State has suspended Auwalu Danladi Sankara, the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties, following allegations of a sex scandal brought forth by the Kano State Hisbah Board.

This suspension is effective immediately and includes Sankara’s membership in the State Executive Council.

The announcement was made via a statement issued by Malam Bala Ibrahim, the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government.

“This decision comes in light of recent claims that necessitate a thorough examination to ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of the State Administration,” said Ibrahim.

He emphasized that the action is a precautionary measure to facilitate a fair investigation into the allegations.

Ibrahim further noted, “We take all allegations seriously and are dedicated to upholding the trust of Jigawa citizens in the government.”

The Secretary assured that the administration remains committed to accountability and ethical governance as the investigation unfolds.
