Jigawa Gov. charges legislature to partner with Executive for progress

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi Danmodi has called on members of the Jigawa State House Of Assembly to join hands with the executive arm of government in prioritising the collective interest of the state above any other interest for peace and progress of the state.

The Governor made this known  while speaking at the honour of the State Speaker, Alh. Haruna Dan gyatun which held at Miga town.

The Governor  also called on farmers’ community in the state to support his agricultural revolution agenda and other policies designed to improved  the state economy and social development.

Namadi explained that during the year’s raining season farming, there is need for farmers to consult extension workers for advice on any problem they find in their farms, and also use modern farming techniques, other available implements to improve the production.

Governor Namadi reiterated the commitment of his government to ensure the supply of fertilizer, chemicals and other modern farm inputs   to the doorsteps of farmers across the 27 local government areas of the state.

Namadi, however, commended Miga Development Initiative Group for organising the occasion in honour of their son Rt Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

“I am happy to tell Miga constituency that Rt Hon Aliyu is a good representative, a reliable and committed leader who cares about the development of Jigawa state and humanity, therefore this honour is well deserved,” Governor Namadi stated.

In his speech during the occasion, the Speaker Rt Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah, Governor Namadi, Miga constituency and all well wishers for the honour given to him, he described it as a source of inspiring and encouragement in public service.

He  then promised to ensure good working relationship between the legislative and executives for delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Jigawa state in line with Progressives.
