Jigawa Golden Stars sacks 25 players, suspends 3 coaches

Jigawa Golden Stars has terminated the contracts of 25 of its players, sacking another 3 coaches in a bid to move the club forward in preparation for 2023 sporting activities, for the club to return to its rightful position in the premier league.
The FA Chairman of Jigawa State, Sabo Abdullahi Eka disclosed this in an exclusive interview with our sports reporter in Dutse .
He explained that the club has desolved its coaches and appointed three new coaches that will run the affairs of the club in the season.
He stated that three new deputy coaches were hired to assist the three newly appointed coaches to improve their sporting activities in ensuring the club meets its desires.
Sabo claimed that 90% of the club’s players has been sacked from the club. The number of players disengaged precisely was given as 25.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been concluded to sign another twenty five new players after screening by the technical crew of the club, in replacement of those relieved.
Sabo revealed that state has four major clubs, these include: Halfa United in Hadejia, Dandidi United in Gumel, Raizy United in Birnin Kudu, Vica United also in Birnin Kudu and Jigawa Golden Stars as the foremost club in the state .
He decried the lack of supports in sporting activities across the state. He felt politicians and wealthy people in the state should do more in sponsoring sports in the state.
He appealed to the Jigawa State Government to parley banks and corporate organizations in the state for sponsorship.
Sabo commended the state government for its efforts in remunerating the players, claiming that, “no club in the federation is receiving their monthly salary better than Jigawa Golden Stars
He appreciated the efforts of Kazaure, who is currently contesting for senatorial seat on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) for constructing “a befitting stadium that can compete with any stadium in the world”.
He also showed appreciation to Engr. Da’u Aliyu for his constituent project of constructing a standard stadium in Birnin Kudu.
He added that the major challenges now are with Dutse, Hadejia ,Gumel and Ringim stadiums for their lack of facilities.
He therefore charged youths in all parts of the state who are interested in sport to commit any politician that needs their vote to promise promotion of sports in their area, perhaps to put it in black and white.
