The Jigawa state Members of the State Assembly have yesterday cast a vote of confidence on Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s administration and the Speaker of the Jigawa State House Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

This followed a motion moved by a member representing Malam Madori Constituency, Honourable Hamza Adamu Ibrahim, and seconded by a member representing Garki Constituency, Honourable AbduIla Muku.

Honorable Hamza Adamu Ibrahim said the casting a vote of confidence on the executive and legislative arms was meant to strengthen the development process of the state.

He stressed the need for internal unity and cohesion among members of the legislative arm as no meaningful success can be recorded in conflicting situations.

In their various contributions, members representing Guri, Buji, Fagam, Yankwashi, Kazaure, Bulangu, and Kafin Hausa expressed their confidence in the Governor Malam Umar Namadi and the Speaker Right Honourable Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin for the development process initiated since assuming the mantle of leadership.

They however urged the Governor and the Speaker to do more in terms of improving the economic well-being of the people given the harsh economic realities in the country.

In his response, the Right Honourable Speaker Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin thanked members of the assembly for the gesture and assured them that the leadership of the executive and the legislature would improve on what they are doing to justify the confidence reposed in them.
